Collector's Corner
A collectible (or collectable) is a manufactured item designed for people to collect. Collectibles are specifically created for the purpose of collecting. In this respect, they are distinguishable from other subjects of collections, which may also include natural objects (e.g., butterflies) and objects manufactured for purposes other than collecting (e.g., stamps). However, sometimes objects designed for other purposes, such as toys, become so popular among collectors that they are later marketed specifically to that audience. Star Wars action figures are a good example of this phenomenon.

What always seems to be in a state of flux is what people collect. There is no real roof on the possiblies of personal collections. Everything from matchbooks to stained glass windows. Whatever seems to catch the collectors fancy.
There has been advertising of one kind or another for as long as products have existed. Premiums, name brands, movies, tv shows and comic book heros all have seemed to make their way to our collectible shelf.
We have collected a few current collectibles that are on the market today and are popular such as Coca Cola Products, John Deer Tractors and the popular and beautiful Artesania Rinconada Pottery.

Vintage Collectibles have a broader range than the current collectibles spanning many centuries in some cases. The search for the perfect book or the last piece for a Roy Rogers Collections inspires collectors to frequent flea markets and swap meets to trade, swap or beg for their missing piece .
From bottle openers to postwar glass balls , cookie containers to oodles of poodle ornaments collectors look for that perfect piece.
